Activities - Co Curricular Activities

The school provides ample scope for the development of creative skills of students in fine arts and crafts. Opportunities are provided to the students for participating in debates, dramatics, music, art, craft, photography and trekking etc. The school encourages development of hobbies. Educational trips form an integral part of training.

Also conducts educational excursions to different places of interest which allows the students to absorb the different cultures, customs and traditions of the country which apart from educating them, strengthens the confidence and intellect of students. Various Teachers and Students Exchange Programmes provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and further groom them for a bright future.

An old saying goes “if your hobby becomes your profession, you will always love your work”. Astronomy, dramatics, environment, movie making, photography are some of the few club activities planned for the students.

1.  Students of AGS Bandipora celebrate World Yoga Day:Yoga is an invaluable gift of ancient tradition that embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action and harmony between mankind and nature. World Yoga Day was celebrated with great zeal and enthusiasm by students of AGS Bandipora on 21 June 2020. The students were excited about the various Yoga exercises and performed them with vigour and high spirits under strict supervision and guidance of the Yoga trainer. A total of 20 students and 5 teachers participated in the event.

2.    WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY: World Envt Day was celebrated  with full enthusiasm by students of AGS Bandipora. To mark the day, the school organised online programme   to raise awareness  among students to take positive action to protect nature and the planet Earth.

Our school celebrated Punctuality Week in which students and teachers take oath to be punctual on the morning Assembly.The teachers also aware the students about the punctuality.

In order to sensitize students towards the need to preserve environment and ecology, tree plantation drives are organised in the School from time to time. One such drive was held on today, during which trees were planted around the area of Chittnar Forest."
The Principal Mrs. Shabnam Kousar, Vice Principals, Incharge of Co-curricular Activities and many other teachers were present on the occasion and they planted numerous trees.
On the occasion Principal highlighted the importance of plants in our lives and urged the people to plant more and more trees. She said the best gift a person can give to the world is to plant a tree that provides fresh oxygen to the people and helps in curbing global warming.

AGS Bandipora Celebrated Dr. Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar day ( The father of constitution). The special morning assembly was conducted in which students delivered speeches on his life and his contribution towards nation. The teachers also aware the students about his life and his contribution.

The aim of the program was o equip the teachers with the latest techniques of teaching including soft skills, new teaching methods and to know the psychology of the students so to make them better understand in the classroom. In this program four teachers from AGS Bandipora attended the workshop

The young tots displayed their love and affection for their mothers through songs, Skits and topics. The effort of mothers in bringing positive change in the lives of children was highlighted to the children through interactive lectures and storytelling.

On 17th May, 2019 Army Goodwill School Bandipora celebrated World Telecommunication Day and the host for this assembly was Jhelum House.
The Assembly began with a beautiful prayer followed by a thought. The young tots displayed Skit regarding World Telecommunication Day, some of the students also spoke about the importance of World Telecommunication Day and tried to convey how easy it has become in the present times to deliver messages, telephonic conversation . The aim of this assembly was to highlight the revolution that has happened in the World of Telecommunication.

Army Goodwill School Bandipora celebrated Father’s Day at its premises. By inviting fathers of the students. The Celebration was started with a beautiful performances. The young tots displayed their love and affection for their fathers through songs, Skits and topics. Children perform on the beats of dancing songs.
Fathers, while expressing their feelings on the occasion, appreciated the efforts of school authorities for this unique idea of involving the Fathers in such celebrations. They said such type of events help them to know their children better and also help them to nurture their relationship with the children.
Mrs. Shabnum Kousar Principal, AGS Bandipora expressed her joy and happiness, While speaking on the occasion, She quoted ”A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and let you try again.
In the end Mrs. Shabnum Kousar thanked all the fathers for making this celebration happening. She also appreciated the efforts of students and teachers who all made this day a memorable day for their dads.

Environment is everything that determines the life of us, the human being on this earth. The main aim of observing this day is to change attitude towards environment and advocate partnership between each human being and society to ensure a safe future.
We the AGS Bandipora family celebrated the world environment day, with full vigor and enthusiasm. The celebration start with a special morning assembly dedicated to the environment day. From primary section Huzaif Reyaz of the 4th standard presented a thought provoking speech on environment pollution and from secondary section shared the concept of history and importance of environment day with school. It was followed by a skit from 9th standard students where they expressed their views on the human activities that destroys the environment. The primary section students also has strong opinion on deforestation and they portrayed it beautifully through a mine. After the assembly all the children in two groups went to the school garden with the sapling they brought and planted them in the garden.

The Teachers of AGS Bandipora using E-Learning method for students to provide them knowledge of different subjects. Such as: English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Urdu, Computer, Kashmiri, Hindi, General Knowledge.

The students should be encouraged to write any paragraph (from their books)in English / Hindi/ or local language and submit into the teacher.It should be evaluated on neatness, sleeping mistake and formatting.

1st June to 3rd June Activity: Best out of Waste (for classes 6th, 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th).

Students can create some hand made products out of waste available in their houses for this activity.

On 22-02-2021 AGS Bandipora celebrates Bharat Scouts and Guides day.On this occasion Deputy commissioner, CEO and CO 14RR were the Chief guests.

On 1st of March AGS Bandipora organised a workshop programme on Teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Students as well as teachers participated in the programme and made audience aware about the Teachings of Mathma Gandhi.
