Curriculum & Policies

Our school curriculum and academic policies are aligned with the Jammu & Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) and are guided by the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The key highlights include:

1. Holistic and Multidisciplinary Education

  • Emphasis on the overall development of students – intellectual, physical, emotional, and social.

  • Balanced focus on academics, co-curricular, and life skills.

  • Integration of subjects such as art, sports, and vocational education.

2. Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN)

  • Strong focus on foundational learning in early grades.

  • Implementation of activity-based and experiential learning strategies.

3. 5+3+3+4 Curricular Structure

  • Adoption of the new school structure as per NEP 2020:

    • Foundational Stage (5 years): Nursery to Grade 2

    • Preparatory Stage (3 years): Grades 3 to 5

    • Middle Stage (3 years): Grades 6 to 8

    • Secondary Stage (4 years): Grades 9 to 12

4. Competency-Based Learning

  • Shift from rote learning to conceptual understanding and application.

  • Assessment based on skills, performance, and problem-solving abilities.

5. Mother Tongue/Regional Language in Early Years

  • Promotion of mother tongue/local language as the medium of instruction up to Grade 5, wherever possible.

6. Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE)

  • Regular assessments to monitor learning progress and provide timely feedback.

  • Focus on both scholastic and co-scholastic areas.

7. Integration of Technology in Education
